The developers of Katana Inu, a play-to-earn battle royale for PC, have released an action-packed trailer for the closed beta version of the NFT title.
The trailer shows a mixture of cinematic footage and actual gameplay, with the in-game sections featuring third-person combat between a variety of different characters, including anime-looking ones as well as humanoid Shiba Inus. Next to, of course, katanas, it seems players can also fight with other melee weapons while using a variety of different abilities to their advantage, including ones that seem to encourage vertical movement thanks to the design of the environments.
The Web3 title is already available in closed beta, which you may have a chance of getting access to by winning a beta key through giveaways hosted on the official Discord server of the game. According to the official website, the third-person PC battle royale “focuses on fast-paced sword and spell fighting.” The developers are planning on launching a 2D NFT Forging Collection consisting of 5555 non-fungible tokens that will be usable for creating new 3D in-game items through a forging system that is set to soon launch. Minting will take place on the official website, which also contains a link to a whitelist raffle, with the collection set to officially release on Wednesday, May 10th at a mint price of 0.035 ETH for whitelisted players and 0.04 ETH for the public. These are Forge Champions Gen 1 PFPs that you’ll be able to burn and turn into as exclusive in-game character or weapon skins.
