Review of Flash Game: Zombie Dolls

Zombie Dolls is an addictive and amusing game. Hours can easily be lost hiding behind barricades shooting, beating, boomeranging, and exploding these adorable zombies as they try to overrun your house. If you like simple zombie shooting games or are in search of a zombie game that isn’t too graphic, then this game is for you.

The best part of the game is definitely the zombies themselves. The assortment of zombie dolls, such as pirates, angry zombie dolls, and ninja zombie dolls, keep the game interesting and challenging. They even try to fly over your barricades dangling from balloons. The wide variety of weapons also adds to the challenge.

Some zombies can only be killed with certain weapons. You have to figure out which weapons are effective against which type of zombies. Then you have to learn how to defend yourself against their collection of attacks. Sometimes repairing the barricades and rapidly shooting does not cut it. As you become more proficient at killing zombies, you can focus on other things like how they often scream “Oh, no,” when shot. It kind of makes you feel bad for killing them. The feeling does not last long though as they continue to try to invade your house.

One flaw in the game is the way you earn money. If you shoot certain zombies they drop coins. Sometimes those coins will float up into your bank account instantaneously, other times it takes to the end of the round or the coins are never added to your bank account. This makes it very difficult to purchase new weapons, especially when the max you get for beating a level is ten coins and the weapons average a couple hundred coins each. If you don’t have the right weapon to beat a level, you might be stuck there for a long time as you try to save up for one you can beat it with.

A few tips for beating the game:

Become familiar with each weapon and which type of zombie it is meant to kill. Once you are familiar with this, remember to toggle between weapons so your barricades won’t be destroyed.

Consider whether you want a better defense or offense early. You won’t be able to procure enough money to make both strong.

If you get stuck, change your strategy and maybe strengthen your barricades a little or upgrade your weapon. Remember, ninjas can dodge most bullets.
