The CeREELS VoxEdit Contest invites artists to recreate Ella Gator in voxel art against iconic backdrops. With expressive animations, Early Access Token holders can now explore Last Expedition.
The Sandbox CeREELS VoxEdit Contest is now live, inviting voxel artists to unleash their creativity. In partnership with CeREELS, this contest challenges participants to recreate Ella Gator in a voxel art adventure set against iconic world landmarks. Artists are tasked with transforming Ella Gator into a voxel character on an exciting adventure backdrop. Whether it’s Ella sipping coffee by the Eiffel Tower, wandering through Japanese cherry blossoms, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, or posing with a London Beefeater, the possibilities are endless.
What sets this contest apart is the opportunity to create expressive animations. Artists can craft scene-like videos that bring Ella Gator’s adventure to life. While creativity is encouraged, all assets and scenes must adhere to general guidelines for face and node count.
Early Access Token Holders Take the Lead
Until now, only Last Expedition Node Operators (OPs) had access to Last Expedition. However, Early Access Token holders now join the journey. These tokens grant access to all Early Access playtest builds until the Beta launch of Last Expedition, offering a unique opportunity to explore the game.
The CeREELS VoxEdit Contest offers enticing prizes, including SAND tokens, the ability to mint and sell assets, NFT prizes, and more. The top entries can win a share of 15,000 SAND tokens, with the first-place winner receiving 6,000 SAND along with a Reel Book Set. Lower prize tiers include valuable rewards as well.
Submissions opened on September 14th and will close on October 1st. Results will be announced on October 22nd. To participate, artists must create a GIF of their fully animated asset, tweet it with specific hashtags, and complete the Google Form provided. Ensure you are aware of the contest guidelines before proceeding with your submission.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be assessed based on five criteria: creativity, optimization, aesthetics, quality of animation, and level of complexity. Judges will score each criterion on a scale of 1 to 5. Artists are encouraged to showcase their skills and creativity while adhering to contest guidelines.
